No decision on Assange until after the Olympics
July 27, 2012
Ecuador’s foreign minister says there will be no decision until after the Summer Olympics on the political exile request of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.
Foreign Minister Ricardo Patino told reporters Wednesday it would be imprudent to announce a decision during the London Games, which begin Friday and end Aug. 12.
Hopefully, this is an indication that a decision has been reached (in Assange’s favor) and that Ecuador is just waiting for the best time to release the information.
Also, instead of another picture of Julian Assange (we’ve pretty much posted all the good ones), I thought I’d attach some beautiful pictures of Ecuador (in case you have no idea what to picture when we talk about it). I think as far as places to live in exile go, you could do worse than Ecuador.
A decision in Assange’s FAVOUR? Is you freaking SERIOUS? Dude has been ACCUSED OF RAPE. Dude REFUSES to go face the charges of RAPE. What the HELL kinda a revolution steps on women and claims kind of moral ground whatsoever? Are you for fucking real now?! This is why I side-eye the FUCK outta the left.
I guess I should have linked to our many other posts on the matter, our interview with Christine Assange, etc. Check ‘em out, at thepeoplesrecord.com/wikileaks. It needs to be updated but we’ve had this argument about as many times as we’re going to have it publicly on the blog. If interested, read ‘em and decide for yourself. Or if you do have any questions, feel free to email us @ thepeoplerec@gmail.com and I’ll send you a thorough personal response to any unanswered questions you have.
& again, he has not been charged with any crime in any country.

I just returned from Ecuador a few weeks ago! Granted, I was isolated in the middle of the Amazon most of the time… but from my few days of travel in the city, I loved it. Such a gorgeous place indeed.
