beatyourselfup asked: I was going to follow you until I realized that your blogging etiquette is poor. You take things from other posts and repost them on your own without reblogging or giving credit where you got it from. This way, it looks like you've done all the work when you haven't. I doubt "The People" would approve of this.

Hmmm, we put “Source” at the end of text posts that are not original content & add click-through links to image posts to take you to the original source when they are not original content. Any failure to do that is a mistake and unintentional. We have no objective interest in decieving people into believing that the articles we’re posting are our own, unless they are. We also DO produce original content. This is a tumblog. We post stuff from the internet. It isn’t all original. We don’t report live from Somalia. Needless to say, our resources don’t allow that. I’m sorry if you find our habits unethical but we’re doing what we can. As to whether “the people” would approve, I guess you would have to ask which people. Clearly, you don’t. Others do. I’m less interested in giving or receiving credit and more interested in sharing and receiving information. At any rate, nice blog, keep up the good work.

  4. idlnmclean said: I somehow doubt that beatyourselfup actually gives all credit that is due when & where it is due. We have 2 parents. They have likewise. Go back a couple generations & you have more people to credit with your existence than are alive now.
